My favourite type of camp is a free or donation camp. I enjoy being able to spread out and have my own space. Where some people prefer the convenience and security of a caravan park, I personally find them confining.
I will stay in a showground if it is reasonably priced but nothing compares to the freedom I feel when I have space around me.

Glenhope Property – Cobar
This donation camp is on a privately owned sheep property.
There are no amenities so you will need to have a toilet and water as a minimum.
Fires are permitted and there is firewood stacked around the camp area.
Canowindra Showground
This is a long stay showground.
It has newish amenities and water. There are powered sites if you prefer.
There is a dedicated camp area but as long as you are not in the way, they are happy for you to park anywhere.
You may have to leave when the balloon show is on unless you have previously booked.
